Last week I lamented about how I was allowing my energy to be negatively impacted by the political shenanigans in Congress.

I stated my intention to gain control over my news absorbing habit so that information that I have zero control over doesn’t impact how I relate to the people in my daily life. Even as I wrote those words I wondered if my ideas would be effective.

Fortunately, one reader gave me a great idea and the link to a website that focuses only on good news. It’s called the Good News Network, http://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/. Their mission is to provide a “Daily Dose of News to Enthuse.” The Good News Network® is a clearinghouse for the gathering and dissemination of positive compelling news stories from around the globe. The daily stories confirm what we already believe: good news itself is not in short supply; the advertising of it is.

What a wonderful tool to shift negative thoughts. This week when I began to feel my blood boil as another politician presented some insane idea as truth, I clicked on the Good News Network. My energy immediately shifted when I read about a kind, compassionate debt collector; a CEO giving away his $3 million dollar bonus to his workers; some far right protesters connecting with Muslims over tea and biscuits; and a cat named Grumpy Cat signing an endorsement deal with Purina.

I may begin using the split screen capability on my television so I can watch craziness and goodness at the same time.

I don’t often recommend others in this blog, however, I invite you to add the Good News Network to your energy saving tool kit. Clarity also has some great tools to help you choose your own powerful thoughts:
