The Daily Check In process is designed to allow you to focus on self, giving you an opportunity to focus your day towards the outcome you desire. Take fifteen minutes per day to ask yourself this series of questions. Remember to keep the focus completely on your personal field, your performance, what has served you well and what has not.
Step 1: Ask yourself what is different. Every moment, change is occurring. If you can feel a change, ask how it is different.
Step 2: Ask yourself what has worked and what didn’t work. We call this exercise the Whoops Review. It works like a game film review of your performance. Look at the past 24 hours and review the facts. Self criticism is not the focus of this exercise, but simply an opportunity to look at your performance and identify areas for improvement.
Step 3: Check your personal energy field.
- What is the state of your mind? Are you foggy, alert, distracted, focused?
- What is the state of your body? Are you comfortable, tight, flexible?
- What is the state of your sprit? Are you light, happy, curious? Remember that your spirit is rarely depressed. This is a state of mind. Almost always, your spirit is enlightened.
Step 4: What are your grateful for? Stating your gratitude keeps you focused on what is working instead of focusing on what is not.
Step 5: What is your intention for the day? Do you have an objective or an impact that will serve as your purpose for the day? Your intention can be as simple as an objective of happiness.
Building these fifteen minutes into your daily routine will give you the power to be proactive in your life rather than reactive.
Live Lights On!
